If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's the power of using your voice

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some answers to questions I commonly receive:

Do you accept clients outside of the state of Georgia?

Yes! I am a PSYPACT-accredited psychologist, which allows me to meet with individual clients for therapy outside of my licensure state of Georgia. My license is recognized in 43 other states. Please check this site to see if you are living in a PSYPACT participating state: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am in-network with the following insurance providers for therapy, only in the state of Georgia:

1. Aetna

2. Carelon Behavioral Health

3. Devoted Health Medicare Advantage

4. Oscar (Optum)

5. Oxford (Optum)

6. Quest Behavioral Health

7. United Healthcare (Optum)

What happens if you don't take my insurance?

I can still see you as an out-of-network provider, both for psychological evaluations (in GA only) and individual therapy outside of Georgia. To help with cost, I offer Superbills at the client's request for those who want reimbursement for services rendered. A Superbill is an itemized receipt of the services provided. After receiving the Superbill from me, you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursements depend on your out-of-network mental health insurance benefits. Before scheduling an appointment, I recommend contacting your insurance company to confirm your plan's benefits, so you know how much you'll receive back.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Yes and no. I do not provide in-person therapeutic services as that is fully virtual; however, I do provide in-person Psychological Evaluations at my office in Johns Creek, GA. Online therapy is super convenient and just as effective as in-person therapy for several presenting concerns, according to recent studies. It can also make therapy more affordable by preventing you from spending time and money driving to an office.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute consultation before our first session. I believe that it's important to find a therapist who's the right fit for you, so I utilize this time to provide you insight into what it'll be like to work with me and answer any questions that you have as well.

What are your rates?

An out-of-network 50-minute therapy session costs $250. A limited number of exceptions to this rate may be available. Please contact me for more information. A full Psychological Evaluation is $3,250. A Personality Assessment is $2,000. A partial psychological Evaluation is $2,750.

What ages do you test, and when can I schedule an appointment?

All testing is for ages 6 years old and up. You can give me a call or submit a request for testing on the Contact Me page to schedule an appointment.

How do I make an appointment?

Under my "Contact Me" page, you will see a space for you to send me a direct message. Under the same tab, you will also see my email address and phone number. Additionally, each page on my website will have a "Contact Me" button. Please feel free to reach me in whichever way is most convenient and comfortable for you. Before an appointment can be made, I require a complimentary 15-minute consultation to determine if we will be a good fit to work together. If I miss your call, I will attempt to return calls within 24 business hours of receiving the message.
